Samul (PC)

Samul means four percussions in Korean. It has been performed to relieve the hardship of Labour, encourage the spirit of soldiers in the war, and console grieving people at the funeral. Samul’s four percussions represent four elements of nature: Thunder, Wind, Cloud, and Rain, and they accompanied the lives and deaths of Koreans for more than a thousand years. In this immersive piece, the audience will experience the grand cosmic interplay between these elements and the master performers of Samul.
